Lapis lazuli, usually known simply as “lapis,” is a blue metamorphic rock that has been utilised for thousands of years as a gemstone, sculpting material, pigment, and decorative material. A high-quality lapis lazuli may be an expensive stone. The best examples have a deep, solid blue hue with a few reflective particles of gold pyrite.
